Akwakuma girl's secondary school champions of Desire Oparanozie soccer tournament

Akwakuma girl's secondary school were crowned champions of Desired Oparanozie soccer tournament after defeating Ikenegbu girl's secondary school on a 5-0 penalty shoot out to lift the cup.  

Although the first and second half of the game ended in a goalless draw.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
