Nigerian peace corps bill scale through first reading at the House Representative

The bill for establishment of Nigerian peace corps  
(2019 HB 17 ) was sponsored Mohammed Tahir Monguno from Borno state, on 3rd July 2019 passed through first reading at the federal House of Representative. 

But according to some house of representative members who supported the bill to scale through first reading during their plenary session said the reintroduction of the bill and the grey areas attached, have been addressed because the NPC will help in nation building capacity and provide community services that will facilitate peace in Nigeria.  President Muhammadu Buhari declined his assent to Nigerian peace corps bill pointing on overlap and duplication of functions with existing security agencies as well paucity of funds which their office at 57, Iya Abubakar crescent have been sealed over financial fraud.
