Hepatitis C virus patient discovered in Imo state sent to emergency unit- Onyema Ndukwe

Onyema Maxi-George Ndukwe who is the CEO of youths awake for better society (YABS) in conjunction with Rotary club marked the world hepatitis day on the 25th of July 2019 as sensitization and testing were carried out at Owerri Municipal local government secretariat, Imo state university and Alaba market Naze. 


According to his report hepatitis is a deadly virus and so many have died out of ignorance because a family was sent to an emergency unit for treatment after the test indicated that they have contracted hepatitis C virus.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
