Ibari Ekwem Arugo decorated with artistic mat for the grand finale of Oru-Owerre festival

Ibari Ekwem Arugo have been set up behind his grave side with artistic mat where the roasted yams will be
placed for the grand finale of Oru-Owerre festival which will be marked with a procession from all the age grades in Owerri nchi-ise autonomous community in their traditional uniform attire on the 27th of July 2019 at Ugwu Ekwema located along fire service by Egbu road in Imo state.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
