Super Falcons striker Desire Oparanozie inspire Nigerian students to dream


Super Falcons captain who plays for En Avant de Guingamp FC in France Desire Oparanozie through her foundation (DO) in conjunction with the Imo state ministry of youth and sports held female students soccer tournament at Owerri city school in Imo state, which kicked off on the 18th -19th of July 2019.  

THEME : Encouraging The Young Nigerian Dreamers.




The aim is to inspire young Nigerian students in the fulfillment of their dreams through sports and education which help in the diversification of our culture. But Desires presences drew alot of Nigerian celebrities and sponsorship who supported the event promise to make it an annual event in Nigeria.      


She encouraged students to shun cultism,armed robbery,prostitution,
terrorism and negative thoughts that could kill their dream careers because education is the key to their bright future only if the could believe in themselves by abiding to the school rules and regulations.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
