Oha-Emeke place fine of #70,000 on Ubowalla community for contravening masquerade ban

Oha-Emeke ofo-iri Emekuku elders placed a fine of seventy thousand naira on Ubowalla community in Azara-Ubo autonomous community Owerri North local government area in Imo state. 

For contravening the five years ban on masquerade display at Nkwo-Emeke market square with Abo-Ikeduru youths, during the burial ceremony of late.John Ogu, Which was held on June 2019.   

Although Ezeogba and Ezedibia have been fined fifty thousand naira each for masquerading in their various communities during burial ceremonies. 

Oha-Emeke elders have sent an official letter to Ubowalla community governing council (UCG) informing them about the seventy thousand naira fine placed on the community. 

It was on the 31st of December 2018, when late.Evans Nnadozie Anoshiri was shot dead


and CEO drizzlersnews blog Ezurike Frank Louis was attacked by four unknown boys who inflicted injuries on him during the Nkwo-Emeke masquerade cultural display as well so many others who sustained various degree of injuries that were hospitalized which the case was reported at Owerri North police head quarter in  Uratta. 

Although the culprit have been arrested, but the Oha-Emeke elders and Emekuku community Assembly jointly accepted that a five years ban have been placed on Nkwo-Emeke masquerade cultural display and no such cultural display should be seen in any community even during burial ceremony which letters were sent to various president generals and Eze's of various communities in Emekuku ofo-iri.
