A ten years old boy shot dead in Okigwe


In the early hours of today in Okigwe, Imo state, a boy of 16 years old shot a boy of 10years old to death in the presence of his mother.

According to an eyewitness who contacted us via mail, the 16 years old boy paid a visit to the 10 years old boy who lives behind a popular bar in the area called Apple Seed and asked the mother of the boy to talk his son.

The woman not knowing he was going to kill his son, went ahead to summon the boy who was busy in the parlour.




On sighting the boy coming out from the house, he shot him and alighted

It was such a painful scene that nobody could take pictures of the dead boy.

A team of policemen stormed the area on getting the information, made some arrest and later left with the corpse.

One of our sources confirmed that the killing is cult related.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
