Three Rotary club members kidnapped in Owerri


Three Rotarian club members who came for a retreat  and attended a joint fellowship of Aladinma district of 9142, were yesterday kidnapped along Port-Harcourt road in Owerri, when they went for lunch at Hungry man restaurant. 


According to the report received by the Drizzlersnews, they were kidnapped and whisked away with a Toyota Sienna . 

It was speculated that they were from Ohaji Egbeama, but they are operating along Port-Harcourt - Owerri express road and from police track report they were located at Ikenegbu before the signals were lost. Although no contact have been received by their various families from the kidnappers to know the actual ransom to paid.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
