umu-Akuru unity nations cup:The football match between Tunisia VS Ghana was postponed




The football match between Tunisia versus Ghana in the on going umu-Akuru unity nations cup was postponed due to the heavy down pour of rainfall,that filled the field in the 10mins duration of play in the first half of the game and both teams were playing a goalless draw.  




Although the centre referee Chima Azu with the two lines consulted the committee members and the two captains agreed that the match should be postponed and the remaining matches will be played before the knock out. 

Ghana have one outstanding match, While Tunisia have two outstanding matches to play, but the black stars of Ghana are on top of the umu-Akuru unity nations cup table with seven points, while the carthage eagles of Tunisia have four point with Ivory Coast respectively, though Tunisia could not convert their two glaring chances while Ghana was prevented by the Tunisian goal keeper who pearled their only chance to a corner kick.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
