umu-Akuru unity cup best referee King Chinedu suspended officially from all nations cup matches

King Chinedu who was awarded the best referee of umu-Akuru unity cup soccer tournament, have been suspended from officiating nations cup matches, because from the report received from a member of the committee he said " The match between Tunisia versus Nigeria which ended in a 2-2 draw, Chinedu failed to spot a goal kick which was converted to a goal during the extra time by the Nigerian team and it aroused a mass protest from Tunisian team as the Tunisian goal keeper went straight in anger to push the lines man despite calling referees attention, but the Tunisian goal keeper was not given a straight red card by the referee after due investigation by the committee the Tunisian goal keeper was suspended". 


King Chinedu officiated the opening match between South Africa versus Tunisia which also ended in a 2-2 draw as the South African team questioned the decision of referee with a protest against the controversial penalties been awarded to Tunisian team after viewing the var camera before taking his decision.


But other referees have officiated two matches each since the umu-akuru unity nations cup started he was still on one match and soon the knock out stage will commence after the preliminary group stages.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
