Five traditional rulers killed at Njaba local government

 

Njaba local government area headquarter in Nnenasa community Imo state, was thrown into a chaotic trauma, as unknown gunmen stormed into the venue of where over twenty traditional rulers were holding their meeting and shot sporadically at them. 

According to the report received by the Drizzlersnews correspondent, who said that two traditional ruler died instantly, while three are in coma, as at the time they were rushed to a near by undisclosed hospital and others suffered various degree of bullet wounds.



When the police public relation officer, Mike Abatam was contacted, he confirmed the incident and said three who were in coma have died, as he disclosed the names of the two traditional rulers that died.

They are  Eze.Anayo Durueuroe (Obi ll of Okwudor) Eze.Samson Osunwa of Ihebineoweri Okwudor and the rest of the three, are yet to be disclosed and others that sustained bullet injuries are responding to treatment

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
