Sir.Victor Uwaifo laid to eternal rest at 80

 

Legendary musician Sir.Victor Uwaifo,known as the guitar boy, was laid to the eternal glory of God, at his home town Benin city in Edo state, as his friends, family and colleagues, bid him farewell journey back to his creator. 

Edo state governor Godwin Obaseki,announced that the newly constructed craft hub in the state, is now renamed to Victor Uwaifo hall, to keep his legacy alive and some of his well known songs are Joromi, Mami Water and Guitar Boy

Nkotonko an Igbo Nollywood drama music comedy actors Emeka Ngannori  (Omalicha) and Shadon Onukaogu as well known as Akuebe were spotted at Bongo square in Owerri with other actors and actresses participating in a movie audition. Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
