Vice president Osinbajo receive common wealth baton

 






The vice president of Nigeria Yemi Osinbajo and the minister of youth & sports Sunday Dare, in the presence of British high commissioner Catriona Laing, received the 2022 common wealth games queen's baton, scheduled to place at Birmingham city in England, and as part of the protocols to be observed, in preparation for the games, the queen's baton will be under going 15 African countries tour and the queen's baton relay have arrived Nigeria, it is a great privilege , as the vice president of Nigeria to receive the queen's baton, in honor of the president of the republic Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
