Governor Hope Uzodinma condemn the killing of traditional rulers

 

Imo state governor Hope Uzodinma have condemned the recent killing of traditional rulers in Najaba local government headquarter in Nneasa, by bandits, tagged as unknown gunmen, and he promise to bring the culprits, to

face the wrath of the law, as he commiserate with the families of the deceased traditional rulers, as he appealed for calm in the state, for proper investigation to be carried out by the law enforcement agency and ask the general public assist them, by given concrete information that will lead to the arrest of the criminals.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
