Electricity Distribution Company AEDC staff electrocuted to death


Anagada community in Abuja was thrown into mourning by 12.47 pm, yesterday when an Abuja Electricity distribution company staff identified as
Yakubu Alhassan was electrocuted to death, while trying to fix the community 500 KVA transformer fuse when it tripped off due to over load, but the deceased was unfortunate when the light was suddenly restored, which led to his death. 

 He has been responsible for the maintenance of the transformer when such case arises and been known as Yakubu NEPA.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
