Two suicide death recorded in Imo State


Two suicide death were recorded in Imo state, under the coronavirus lockdown in the state. 

According to the report received by Drizzlersnews, it occurred in two different local government areas, they are Mbaitoli and Owerri Municipal L.G.A.  

 From the report gotten from divisional police headquarters Mbieri, it occurred at umudafa, Awo Mbieri Mbaitoli local government area, he is said to be about 45years old and the house where the lifeless body was found hanged on the ceiling belongs to Mr. Osita Ezuruike and it was not ascertained whether he is tenant   or a native of mbieri in Mbaitoli local government, but corpse of the man have been deposited in mortuary and investigation have commenced to know what lead to his death.

The second suicide death is an inspector of police attached to Government house identified as Haruna Mura was found death at Alvan shell camp and it is suspected that he was assassinated because alot of bruises were found on his body, neck and back, as his trouser was pulled down, his service pistol was taking away.   But the cause of his death is not known yet, according the police public relation Imo state SP Orlando Ike.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
