Darling. FM accused of spreading fake news on rename of IMSU

The management of Darling.FM  Owerri have been accused by Imo state government of spreading fake new against governor Hope Uzodimma, over the planned renaming of Imo state university to Mallam Abba Kyari university as a way to honor the late chief of staff to president Muhammadu Buhari, who was buried on the 17th of April 2020. 

 The commissioner of information Decland Emelumba have asked the Darling.FM to tender an apology and retract the news or face the consequences.  He went further to accuse the opposition party of People's Democratic party (PDP) of masterminding the news which trend on the micro blogs because the were removed from power by the supreme court, as the former governor of Imo state Emeka Ihedioha was accused of embezzling local government allocation worth #19.6 billion, which he said was used to execute local government road projects, renovation of local government secretariat, construction of stadium's  and purchase of construction equipment's. 

 He warned them not to use social meadia or mass media to cause trouble or distractions in Imo state.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
