Governor Hope Uzodimma accused of planning to rename IMSU

According to the information trending on social media, which have generated protest from Imolites, the Imo state governor Hope Uzodimma have been accused of planning to rename the state university known as Imo state university to Abba Kyari university as a way to eulogize the late chief of staff to president Muhammadu Buhari  Mallam Abba Kyari, who died and was buried on the 17th of April 2020, after testing positive to coronavirus pandemic. 

Although the renaming of the state university, happened during the administration of former governor of Imo state Godswill Ikedi Ohakim in 2011, which was changed from it's initial name IMSU to Evan Enwerm university. 

Late Dr.Evan Enwerem is from AmaImo in Ikeduru local government area, he obtained a bachelor's degree in law  at the university of Southampton united kingdom, he was elected the governor of Imo state in 1991, were he served for seven months.  In 1999 he was elected to represent Imo East in the national assembly  and was made the senate president, but was removed from the post on 18th November 1999 for bearing a false name, but he is a member of the upper chamber until 2003. 

Enwerem died on 2nd August 2007, he is married to Vivienne Enwerem and who gave birth to his seven children.
