Imo state to commence mass testing exercise of COVID - 19

Imo state committee chairman on COVID-19 professor Maurice Iwu have thanked the security agencies for their effort to ensure that the lockdown order issued by the governor of Imo state Hope Uzomadinma is maintained and went further to thank the governor for distributing palliatives to Imolites.   From his updates nobody from the state have been infected by the coronavirus and soon the mass testing exercise of COVID-19 will commence soon in the 27 local government area, churches, schools and community level. 

But asked Imolites to stay at home and be safe by maintaining social distance and washing their hands regularly.

The government of Imo state is understudying the situation of the virus to know when the state will reopen for business and nose mask will be distributed, we actually understand all the condition you are going through. 

Finally he warned Imolites not to patronize herbal roots or medicine as a cure for coronavirus or consuming alcohol as a protective means, for now their no cure for coronavirus, no private hospital is treating coronavirus for now and asked them to visit the isolation testing centres in the three zones in Imo state because the world health organization is studying some medication which will be accepted for the treatment of the virus and used the opportunity to thank the health workers for their efforts, he described them as hero's of our time.
