Imo state Government send RED alert


Imo state Governor Hope Uzodimma have warned all citizens of Nigeria to stay safe and observe the down lock down order issued by the Government, any other breach of law in the state will lead to compulsory community service if found guilty with fine and the offender will be placed on medical surveillance quarantine isolation. 

 Please read and extend the message to your wards or communities except personnel's only who are on Government official essential services.

Nkotonko an Igbo Nollywood drama music comedy actors Emeka Ngannori  (Omalicha) and Shadon Onukaogu as well known as Akuebe were spotted at Bongo square in Owerri with other actors and actresses participating in a movie audition. Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
