Police in Cross River State said tremendous achievements have been made in the state in the fight against crime and maintenance of law and order across the State.   The State’s Commissioner of Police, Hafiz Inuwa said this while parading over 70 suspects with assorted arms and ammunition at the State CID headquarters in Calabar, the Cross River State Capital. The ECOWAS County Court Judgment (CCJ) this morning 10th of October, 2017 adjourned the case between Nnamdi Kanu the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and the Federal Government of Nigeria until 26th of November, 2017 .   Kanu's Lawyer filed an additional motion document which include a report by Amnesty International on 10th of June, 2016, and Killing of Unnamed Pro Biafra Supporters by Military.  The IPOB said it must be urgently investigated presented photographs of slained members of IPOB allegedly killed by Nigerian security personnel, which the Federal Government lawyers denied receiving the motion.  But the court saw evidence that it had been served and objected to the adoption of the documents.   Kanu was absent during the court sitting.

The new Commissioner of Police Mr Ali Janga in Kogi State have paraded 20 suspected criminals arrested for various criminal offences according to his report at the Lokoja  police Headquarter  said the suspects were arrested in various location in the state.   Among the suspects were two policemen, Corporal Suleiman Isiaka, Corporal Ibrahim James and one naval officer, Bature Habila who were arrested for kidnapping and armed robbery the have been dismissed once investigation is concluded they will face court trials so that justice will take it's course.
