Old Faces Of Owerri International Club Elect Hon.Clinton Amadi

Hon.Clinton Amadi is the present president of old faces of Owerri International club. 
But his running mate Dr.Perry Njoku stepped down before the commencement of the election and according to the electoral chairman Mr. Vitalis Okere said  
Hon. Clinton Amadi got 95% 0f the accredited votes of members of the club and the post of the General Secretary Ike Godson Win Fred got 37 votes,38 void votes , and 20 no vote therefore she did not get two-third majority of accredited number of votes and a bye election will be conducted but kept pending until further notice.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
