Owelle Rochas Okorocha Extend Ban On Imo State Pilot Drivers

The Imo State Governor His Excellency Owelle Rochas on the Independence day celebration October 1, 2017 at the Hero Square Arena when the members of Imo State Pilot Tricycle Transport Drivers (Keke) met him and begged him to give them more time to stop operation in the Metropolis of Owerri so that they will prepare to take up the new transport system of Tax Imo which the Imo State Government have provided therefore he considered their plights and extended it to December 1, 2017 when the will stop operation.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
