Lionel Messi fired a hat-trick in Quito on Tuesday as Argentina defeated Ecuador 3-1 and booked their ticket for the 2018 Russia FIFA World Cup . 
 This is the Argentina superstar fourth World Cup appearance he will attempt once more to lead his country to an elusive major title to break the record of Argentina Legend Diego Maradona  and Pele of Brazil to be the greatest player in the world.
