82 Division Nigerian Army Major General Flag Off Operation Crocodile Simile 11 In Calabar



The 82 Division Nigerian Army General Commander, Major General Adamu Baba Abubakar has
flagged off the Operation Crocodile Smile II in Calabar Cross River State. 
According to his report the exercise is aimed at tackling armed banditry, militancy, oil pipeline vandalism, illegal oil bunkering, cultism, kidnapping, terrorism and other vices threatening the insecurity of the Southern region of Nigeria.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
