 Since the Imo State Governor His Excellency Owelle Rochas placed ban on Imo State Pilot Tricycle drivers (Keke operators) within the Metropolis of Owerri to stop their operational services on September 30,2017 due to the on going Urban Renewal and one thousand pieces of  the Passat wagon renamed Tax Imo will take up the functional services of Imo State Pilot Tricycle drivers.    
 Several rumors have spread that former speaker of House Representative Rt.Hon.(Chief) Emeka Ihedioha and Former Senator.Ifeanyi Ararume that both of them bought cars as an empowerment for people who cannot afford the One Million Naira car hire purchase.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
