Schools Shut Down In Owerri Over Military Forceful Vaccination

The uproar in Imo State yesterday over the Nigeria Army Officers going to varrious schools to vaccinate students forcefully without the accent of the school authorities and parents of the students yesterday on visitation to varrious schools in Imo state capital city Owerri in LOGT Nursery, Primary and Secondary in Ikenegbu , Girls Secondary School Ikenegbu, Akwakuma Secondary School, Emmanuel College Owerri, Government College Owerri not up to 2% of the population of the students were present and other Local Government Areas in Imo state no student was present and the National Association of private school proprietors held their 12years anniversary in Dan Anyiam stadium in Owerri and through their national president of the association Dr. Sally Nkem Adaukwu Bolujoko expressed their anger over military actions yesterday to vaccinate students and called on the Federal Government of Nigeria to a stop to such actions then begging president Buhari to beef up the security in the country because their lives and that of the students are no longer safe because Education helps to retrain the mind to better the lives of students in the future.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
