Campus FC of Owerri to commence training


Campus football club of Owerri, will commence
training on the 22nd of June 2020 at Owerri city school field and old township stadium.

 According to the report received by the Drizzlersnews from one of the coaches, who said that due to the recent coronavirus pandemic ravaging in the world, all leagues and sporting events were suspended, but with the commencement of the English premier leagues and other leagues without the fans, the chairman of Campus FC and other board members have given a nod for the commencement the training. 

 Although Campus FC is playing in the Nigerian nation wide league which will commence soon and as well some of his players will participate in the state sports festival, which will be held in Edo state, but the COVID-19 task force team have not given a go ahead order for the restarting of the Nigerian professional league to due the high level of contraction of the virus. 
But some states have reopened the religious centres except (Lagos, Abuja, Ogun state) and few food markets, but all inter state movement except trucks of food and essential stocks like petrol, but the task force committee have insist that all schools, airports, night clubs and hotels are all closed down until further notice.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
