A friendly football match between umu-Akuru vs Akaolovo

A friendly match between umu-Akuru versus Akaolovo will be played on Sunday 28th of June 2020, at community secondary school field Emekuku, also known as Manacara stadium by 4.00 pm in the evening. 

 The both teams are from Akailiukwu autonomous community in Emekuku, although umu-Akuru won Okwuemeke in a soccer friendly with a 1-0 score line although the return leg is yet to be played. 

 umu-Akuru have more better players than Akaolovo, but Akaolovo needs to build a more solid midfield and defense to contend the strikers of their counterpart.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
