Pensioners protest in Owerri, over non-payment of their pensions

Imo state pensioners have cried out loud, over non payment of their pensions. 

They were seen with their placards at Assumpta Avenue in Owerri, heading towards the government house and according to the report received by the Drizzlersnews, from the Nigerian union of pensioners, Imo state chapter, have appealed with the Imo state governor Hope Uzodinma to pay them because so many of them are dying out of hunger and many of them have not received their pension for the past five months and their is no other source of lively hood for them because the money was contributed when the were active in service to take care of their retirement old age before the die and not having access to it is the world end on earth. 


Many of their children who is to take care of them at their old age are unemployed after their education nor under paid where the are working and some are unskilled which the cannot take care of themselves or handle medical bills and are unsure of their daily bread.
