Herdsmen killed a 65 years old man at Agwa in Oguta L.G.A

A 65 years old man identified as Mazi Ozoemena Iriaka was killed by herdsmen at umu-Ekpu Agwa in Oguta local government area in Imo state, on the 15th of June 2020, he was shot dead and his neck was slit with a machete.

According to an eye witness report, Mr.Austin Onyeoma told the Drizzlersnews that it is an unfortunate situation that our lives and properties are not been protected because of the incessant killing of Nigerian citizens by terrorist acclaimed to be herdsmen. 

Agwa are known for their farming occupation despite the deposit of oil in the area. but we are been threatened everyday by this herdsmen, since 2015 because their cows destroy our cash crops, which we have invested so much money and accused the government of Imo state of not given adequate attention to their matter. 

He went further to say that it occurred early hours of the morning, but before the security agents at Mgbala could arrive the herdsmen have fled to an unknown destination, but the corpse of the man was carried along with them. 

But revealed that several others had lost their lives in the hands of these herdsmen bandits, who carry along with them an AK-47 guns recently attacked people at Akbo, Izombe, Ejemekwuru, Amafor, Obibiezena, Amaokohia,Egbeme as the herdsmen invade their farms and while the were been asked questions the started shooting farmers.
