A covid-19 patient discovered at Amawom in Owerri nchi-ise


A corona virus patient have been discovered on Thursday 26th of June 2020, at Amawom in Owerri nchi-ise autonomous community Owerri municipal local government area in Imo state. 

 According to the report received by the Drizzlersnews, she is a heath worker at federal medical centre in Owerri and have been taking to isolation centre for treatment, but the covid-19 task force team is tracing all her contacts since yesterday and the family of the victim have been ordered to isolate themselves. 

 From the report received from Nigerian centre for disease control  (NCDC) in Imo state, Owerri municipal local government area have the highest number of corona virus positive patients in the twenty seven local government area in Imo state. 

 The patient is from a well known family and but her name as well her surname have been withheld. 

 Presently the test is been carried out in the state at the various approved at the laboratories and government house as well local government secretariat, because the test carried out in a day hav been increased to one hundred and fifty per day as the governor of Imo state Hope Uzodinma have approved that anybody moving about in the street, without a nose mask will face a capital punishment.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
