Senator Orji Uzo Kalu resumes duty at the national assembly

Abia North constituency senator Orji Uzo Kalu arrived at the upper red chamber of the national assembly by 9.00 am to resume his plenary duties as the chief whip of the senate. 

According to the report received by the Drizzlersnews, he was given a warn welcome back standing ovation and clapping by his colleagues and he was convicted for six months by the economic and financial crime commission (EFCC)  over misappropriation of #7.65 billion Naira fund during his term as the governor of Abia state and he was remanded at the Kuje correction centre (prison) but it was nullified by the supreme court and was ordered to be released. 

Orji Uzo Kalu was convicted by December 2019 in the appeal court by Justice Mohammed Idris and it was nullified by supreme court panel committee led by Justice Ejembi Eko on the 8TH of May 2020.
