Police foil MASSOB Biafra agitators in Owerri

Nigerian police force Imo state command yesterday at exactly 9.00 AM arrested the members of Movement for actualization of soveregin states of Biafra (MASSOB) at Wetheral road in Owerri while they were marking the lndepedence day celebration of the republic of Biafra although more than 30 MASSOB members were arrested and the station they took them to is still unknown. 

They were calling on the international communities to intervene in their matter by conducting referendum because restructuring of Nigeria is not accepted by them because it is the selfish interest and intentions of Nigerian political leaders who said they should  implement the national conference committee report done under the administration of former president of Nigeria Good Luck Ebele Jonathan and many of their members have been killed and many still in jail without access to their lawyers or  been given good medical care attention.

Nkotonko an Igbo Nollywood drama music comedy actors Emeka Ngannori  (Omalicha) and Shadon Onukaogu as well known as Akuebe were spotted at Bongo square in Owerri with other actors and actresses participating in a movie audition. Emeka asked their fans to keep supporting them and the should expect more new movies from them soon Nkotonko reloaded will be released. but the issue of Nkotonko been involved in rituals killings or armed robbery which was seen on the social media they are all false information to tarnish the personality and Image of the actor in the society.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
