Prof.Jude Njoku declare for 2019 Governorship race






The former vice chancellor of Federal University of Technology Owerri (F.U.T.O.) Professor Jude Njoku at the peoples democratic party secretariat officially declared to contest for the 2019 Imo state governorship position under the peoples democratic party (P.D.P) . 

Professor Jude Njoku thanked the Imo state executives of the peoples democratic party led by the chairman Barrister Babatunde Charles Ezekwem who promise to give every aspirant a level playing ground no matter your political position. 

In his political manifesto Jude Njoku said " he is the most educated and qualified among all the aspirants under the peoples democratic party because the governorship position is a sensitive position requires an administrator, the all progressive congress and the Imo state governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha in the name of urban renewal have caused an economic hazards and hardship in Imo state so my declaration for the governorship ambition is to render a selfless service in other to restore hope in Imo state if he emerge as the flag bearer of the peoples democratic party in 2019". 

Professor Jude Njoku said if he assumes office as the governor of Imo state there will be an economic team and promise qualitative free education, job creation, reformation of agricultural sector, good road network and water supply, reformation of the civil service commission, conduct of the local government election six months in office, payment of salaries and pensions, security of lives and properties no matter your religion, payment of taxes.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
