Holy Cross Catholic Church Aladinma C.M.O VS C.W.O Football Match


The holy cross catholic church parish Aladinma marked it's 2018 father's day celebration with lectures and other sporting events. But the football match between the catholic men organization (C.M.O) and catholic women organization (C.W.O) was held on Saturday 5th of May 2018 at Assumpta primary school field at exactly 4.00 PM in Prefab housing estate in Owerri Municipal Local Government Area in Imo state. 

   Although the present national vice chairman of united progressive party as well an ex-commissioner for housing and development Chief (Sir) Ejike Chris Uche was the captain of C.M.O team and Hon.(Mrs).Helen Njoku former supervisory Councillor Aladinma ward1 as well a fashion designer was the captain of C.W.O team. 




The football match was played for 30mins first half 15mins and second half 15mins it ended in 3-3 score draw  and the two captains scored special guest of the day Rev.Fr. Dr. George Nwachukwu.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
