Official opening ceremony of Tokyo 2020 Olympic games

 



The opening ceremony of Tokyo 2020 Olympic games, been held in Japan national stadium, is taking place at the city of Fukushima, on the 23rd of June 2021, as fans are been restricted from entering the stadium, due to the coronavirus pandemic and only the participating countries, as well as their invited representatives, were seen in the stadium, with two hundred and five countries, that are participating in the Olympics games, in forty two venues, that will feature for fifty sports, in three hundred and thirty nine events. 
But the Olympic cauldron was light by the four times grand slam tennis champion Naomi Osaka and has won the USA as well Australian open.   

These are some of the pictures, that you must have missed in the opening ceremony, but the countries with good attractive designed outfits are South Africa and Cayman Island, what do you think ?

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
