Politics: Un-parliamentary Imo lawmakers,suspended indefinitely -Hon.Paul Emeziem
Imo state house of assembly speaker, honorable Paul Emeziem converged an emergence sitting, at the hallow chamber in Owerri, where he announced to the general house members,present that an executive order, have been reached, and it will serve as a deterrence, to other
members, who are conducting themselves, in an unparliamentary manner, and we must learn from their past mistakes, to avoid further re-occurrence, and peace must be restored,with our guiding stipulated principles.Emeziem disclosed that investigations have been conducted, and six legislative members have been found guilty, for gross misconduct, therefore will remain suspended from any legislative duties,indefinitely until further notice. The members are
1.Hon. Uche Ogbuagu- Ikeduru (APC)
2. Hon. Philip Ejiogu - Owerri-North (PDP)
3.Hon. Donminic Ezerioha- Oru-West (APC)
4. Hon Kenndy Ibe - Obowo (APC)
5. Onyemachi Njoku - Ihitte-Uboma (APC)
6. Anyadike Nwosu - Ezinihitte Mbaise (APC)
Finally ordered the chief whip Arthur Egwim to step down from his duties and have been replaced by Obinna Okwarra, as he concluded his announcement, by asking all committees, to be dissolved.
The chamber became rowdy and the affected members, started protesting as security uniform personnel, on duty were shooting sporadically outside and the speaker was seen, running to his car, as other workers in the chamber were hiding from been touched by stray bullets.
