Anambra high court mandates INEC to return back to status quo

 

Independent national electoral commission, was issued a high court order in Anambra state, to reaffirm the gubernatorial candidacy of professor Chukwuma Soludo under All Progressive Grand Alliance and senator Andy Uba of Peoples Democratic Party, for the November 6TH governorship election, as the two candidates names were omitted by INEC, due to court in injunction and existing factional leadership, Chukwuma Micheal Umeoji was declared as the APGA flag bearer, while Val Ozigbo was the PDP flag bearer.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
