Politics : Femi Falana exculpate El-Zakzaky

 

Early hours of the morning, it was observed that the Kaduna state high court premises,was cordoned off and only heavy armed security personals was seen on duty patrol, as further investigative report from the Drizzlersnews correspondent,confirmed that the leader of Islamic movement of Nigeria, Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, under gone another trial, leveled against him, by the Kaduna state government, for the past four years, over alleged eight count charges of culpable homicide and unlawfully assembly, that disrupted the public peace in the state.  

But during the court proceeding, which took over eight hours,the legal counsel representative to El-Zakzaky, Femi Falana stood firm, for his client with a clear facts, that all the fifteen standing witnesses, presented by the Kaduna state government,was not able to establish any criminal activities, that is linked to the Islamic shiite leader, therefore appealed to the high court judge, justice Gideon Kurada to discharge and acquit his client, which was granted to him. 

There have been mass protest carried out by some group of muslim faithfuls, in the northern part of Nigeria, who are demanding for the release of El-Zakzaky and his wife,they were arrested on 13TH December 2020,as various controversies,have been seen in this case and finally he is free with no guilt.
