Politics : Imo APC ward congress, in show of war

 

  Imo state all progressive congress(APC) will conduct their ward congress, on Saturday 31ST of July 2021,at the 305 INEC wards, at the various venues,across the 27 local government areas in the state, to elect new party executives, state and national delegates for the party,that will conduct the primary election, as the system of the election have been an option A4 physical head count,by the members of the party. 

But the unexpected will happen at the approved venue,because the founding father of APC Owelle Rochas Okorocha in Imo state and his supporters,are yet to renew or obtain their party membership,at the ward level,because of the political power tussle in the party leadership of Daniel Nwafor and Marcon Nelmigbo, which have radiated the relationship between Imo state governor Hope Uzodinma and Rochas Okorocha, as formal governor of Imo state Ikedi Ohakim have joined the party. 

A top executive of the party (Name withheld) disclosed to the Drizzlersnews correspondent, that the new party membership registration, that were conducted at the ward level, was done with fake names and with finger thumb prints, that does not exist and the ward congress will be done,with a falsified results, to destroy the political image structure of Owelle Rochas Okorocha at the national level, which will be unacceptable to him and his supporters, as 
It is expected that the ward congress electorates at the venue, will be used as battle blood shed preys by political thugs and assassins.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
