Sports: American gymnastic athlete test positive to covid-19

 


It is four days to go for the commencement of the Tokyo Olympics competition in Japan, but an american gymnastics athlete and the name have been

withheld, tested positive to the coronavirus pandemic and have been isolated, although the medical team are doing the contact tracing with other athletes and many of the participants were vaccinated in there various countries before the arrived at Japan. 

It is because of this pandemic that countries like North Korea and Russian government, banned their athletes from participating in the competition and fans were also banned from attending the games, which have increased alot of mass protest in Japan, as fans were calling for cancellation of the competition.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
